SLD IS HIRING!
SLD is looking for a Structural Engineer to add to our team. We highly value individuals who are curious, excited to learn, and self-directed; those who need to know “why”, and those who solve problems for fun.
In this position, you will be responsible for direct client relations and involvement in all aspects of a diverse range of projects. Structural work will include existing conditions documentation, design, calculations, specification writing, construction document preparation, construction observation, CADD, 3D Modeling and similar duties. Projects will include new construction and rehabilitation of wood frame, steel, precast concrete, masonry, and site-cast concrete projects. You will be required to become proficient with RISA and Enercalc software. This is an intense position, so a learning-mindset is important, as is the ability to take and integrate feedback on your work.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a Structural emphasis
AutoCAD and/or Revit proficiency
Ability to follow our CAD and BIM standards
Ability to work collaboratively with in-house architects
Drive to foster good relationships with SLD staff and clients
Bonuses
Rendering experience
Hands-on construction experience
License with current NYS registration, or interest in pursuing licensure
LEED certification
