The 13,000 SF education center is a newly constructed museum and community center containing gallery space, lecture hall, gift shop, kitchen, conference room, office and archival storage space. The design utilized green building elements including solar panels, geothermal heating and cooling, and timber reclamation. The structural design consisted of a hybrid light frame and heavy timber structure with additional steel and masonry components.
